Data Processing Agreement

What this agreement is

This Data Processing Agreement is part of the Terms. It applies when Circle Comment processes personal data on your instructions in order to run the product. You decide which accounts, keywords, and commenting style to use. Circle Comment processes that data only to provide the service. The Privacy page describes the account information we handle for our own operations.

Data we process for you

On your instructions, we process:

• The LinkedIn session the Chrome extension sends for an account you connect
• Posts that match the keywords or author profile you set, including the author details LinkedIn returns
• The commenting style, prompt, and link you save
• The comments we publish for you

We use this data to search for posts and publish comments. We do not use it to sell personal information or to advertise to the people in those posts.

Your instructions

Connecting an account and saving a setup is your instruction to process that data. We follow the settings in your account. Connect a LinkedIn account only if you are allowed to use it. You are responsible for having a lawful reason to process the personal data in the posts you ask us to comment on.

LinkedIn

We send requests and comments to LinkedIn with the session you connect. LinkedIn receives that information under LinkedIn’s own terms. Circle Comment is not affiliated with LinkedIn Corporation. Comments are public to anyone who can see the post.

People who can access it

Access is limited to people who need it to run, support, or secure the product. They may use the data only for that work.

Hosting providers

Companies that host Circle Comment may process this data only so the product can run. Ask us for the current list. If we add a provider that processes this data for a new purpose, we will update this page.

Security and incidents

We protect the session and the settings you save with access limits appropriate to running the product. If we learn of a breach of this data, we will tell you without undue delay and describe what happened and what we are doing about it.

Requests from people

If someone asks you about personal data we process for you, we will help you respond. That includes providing, correcting, or deleting the data we hold for your account when you ask us to.

Deletion

We keep this data while your account is open and you are using the product. When you close the account, or when you ask us to delete it, we delete the session, the commenting setup, and the related records, unless the law requires us to keep something. Disconnecting LinkedIn stops new use of that session.

How long this lasts

This agreement lasts while you use Circle Comment. If a section does not hold, the rest still applies. The date at the top of this page is the latest version.
